Walking Taco Bar

A fun and interactive taco bar perfect for family gatherings or casual evenings, where everyone builds their own walking tacos using single-serve bags of chips.

Ingredients

  • Individual bags of chips (Fritos or Doritos)
  • Taco meat (ground beef or shredded chicken)
  • Shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack)
  • Chopped lettuce
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Salsa
  • Sour cream
  • Jalapeños
  • Black olives
  • Guacamole

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet and season with taco seasoning.
  2. Drain the fat if desired.
  3. Open the snack-sized chip bags and crumple lightly.
  4. Fill each chip bag with hot meat.
  5. Add shredded cheese and your choice of toppings: lettuce, tomatoes, onions, jalapeños, etc.
  6. Serve directly from the bag using forks or spoons.

Notes

Prep ingredients ahead of time to streamline the process. Allow guests to build their own tacos for a fun experience. Keep cold toppings chilled and hot toppings warm in slow cookers.
