Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package of frozen hashbrowns
- 1 lb pork sausage
- 2 cans of biscuits
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
- 1 tsp black pepper
- Salt to taste
- Butter or cooking spray for greasing
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brown the sausage in a skillet until crispy, then set aside.
- Prepare the gravy using the sausage drippings and milk.
- In a greased baking dish, layer the hashbrowns, biscuit pieces, and browned sausage.
- If using, sprinkle shredded cheese over the layers.
- Pour the gravy evenly over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
This casserole can be assembled the night before. Bake with additional 10-15 minutes if coming from the fridge. Leftovers can be stored for up to 4 days in an airtight container.
