Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well and shape into oblong patties.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the patties until browned on both sides. Remove from skillet.
- Add onions and mushrooms to the skillet and cook until golden brown.
- Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, followed by a splash of cream if using. Stir to combine.
- Return patties to the skillet, cover, and simmer until cooked through, about 10-15 minutes.
Notes
For the best flavor, let the patties chill in the fridge for 20 minutes before cooking. Serve with mashed potatoes or egg noodles for a complete meal.
