- 2 chicken fillets
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Smoked paprika, to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 knob of butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes or hot sauce (optional)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Italian herbs
- 1 cup freshly grated parmesan
- Fresh herbs (parsley or basil, optional)
- Fries (homemade or frozen)
Instructions
- Season the chicken fillets on both sides with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Heat oil in a nonstick or cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken fillets for 4-5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the pan and lower the heat. Add butter and minced garlic to the same pan, cooking for 1 minute without burning.
- Add chili flakes or hot sauce if desired, then pour in the cream and stir in Italian herbs and parmesan until the sauce thickens.
- Return the chicken to the pan and coat with the sauce, cooking for another minute.
- Serve the chicken with fries, drizzling with additional sauce and garnishing with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
This recipe can be made dairy-free by substituting coconut cream and vegan parmesan. Adjust spices to taste for a milder version.
