Ingredients

  • 1 lb oyster mushrooms
  • 1 cup seasoned flour
  • 1 cup non-dairy milk
  • Hot sauce (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Brush off any dirt from the mushrooms.
  2. Break larger clusters apart using your hands.
  3. Coat mushrooms in seasoned flour.
  4. Dunk them in non-dairy milk mixed with a dash of hot sauce.
  5. Return mushrooms to the flour for a second coating.
  6. Heat oil to appropriate temperature for frying.
  7. Fry mushrooms in small batches until golden and crispy.
  8. Set on a rack or paper towels to cool slightly before serving.
