Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese
- ½ cup sour cream OR mayo
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 (1 oz) packet dry ranch seasoning
- ¼–½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (start low!)
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp hot sauce (optional)
- 2 tbsp minced jalapeños (optional)
- ½ cup chopped pecans or almonds (optional)
Instructions
- Soften your cream cheese (leave it out for 30 minutes or microwave for 10 seconds). Plop it into a bowl with sour cream/mayo.
- Mix until smooth (using a hand mixer on low is easiest!). Gently fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Sprinkle in the ranch seasoning, cayenne, and red pepper flakes. Stir everything together until perfectly combined.
- Scoop your dip into a serving dish and sprinkle chopped nuts on top (if using). Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight for best results).
- Serve cold with crackers, chips, or veggies!
Notes
For the best flavor, chill overnight. Start with a small amount of cayenne pepper to control the spice level.
