Alabama Firecracker Dip

This creamy and spicy Alabama Firecracker Dip is the ultimate crowd-pleaser and perfect for parties, game days, or cozy nights in.

  • Total Time: 120 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream OR mayo
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 (1 oz) packet dry ranch seasoning
  • ¼½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (start low!)
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp hot sauce (optional)
  • 2 tbsp minced jalapeños (optional)
  • ½ cup chopped pecans or almonds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Soften your cream cheese (leave it out for 30 minutes or microwave for 10 seconds). Plop it into a bowl with sour cream/mayo.
  2. Mix until smooth (using a hand mixer on low is easiest!). Gently fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. Sprinkle in the ranch seasoning, cayenne, and red pepper flakes. Stir everything together until perfectly combined.
  4. Scoop your dip into a serving dish and sprinkle chopped nuts on top (if using). Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight for best results).
  5. Serve cold with crackers, chips, or veggies!

Notes

For the best flavor, chill overnight. Start with a small amount of cayenne pepper to control the spice level.
