Ingredients

  • 2 boneless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 2 cans of cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup carrots, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 onion, optional
  • 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 package refrigerated biscuit dough

Instructions

  1. Place chicken in the slow cooker and cover with cream of chicken soup.
  2. Add chopped carrots, celery, and optional onion.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until chicken is tender.
  5. Shred the chicken in the pot.
  6. Drop biscuit pieces on top and cover; cook for an additional 35-60 minutes until dumplings are fluffy.

Notes

Check gravy seasoning before serving; adding a pinch of salt and pepper can enhance the flavor. If using homemade dumplings, be cautious with cooking time to avoid gumminess.
