Ingredients
- Crusty bread (ciabatta or baguette)
- Fresh mozzarella
- Ripe tomatoes
- Basil pesto
Instructions
- Cut the crusty bread lengthwise.
- Toast both sides in a skillet with a little olive oil.
- Spread basil pesto generously on one side of the bread.
- Layer thick mozzarella slices on top.
- Add juicy tomato rounds and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Close the sandwich and return it to the pan for 1-2 minutes to warm and melt the cheese.
- Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
Feel free to add pepperoncini, cucumbers, or grilled chicken for variations. It’s also great with prosciutto or avocado.
