Ingredients

- 1 lb steak (sirloin or flank, sliced)
- 8 oz short pasta (penne or rotini)
- 1 cup smoky BBQ sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 3 cups broth
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar)
- Optional: bell peppers, sriracha, chili flakes, green onions for serving
Instructions
- Heat a pot over medium-high heat and sear the steak until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, sauté onions and garlic until soft.
- Add the pasta, BBQ sauce, honey, broth, smoked paprika, and return the steak to the pot. Stir well.
- Cover and simmer until the pasta is cooked and the liquid is absorbed, adding more broth if necessary.
- Serve topped with cheese and green onions. Enjoy!
Notes
For a vegetarian option, substitute steak with mushrooms and smoked tofu. This dish is freezer-friendly, but best enjoyed fresh.
