A comforting one-pot meal featuring smoky steak, sweet honey, tangy BBQ sauce, and pasta, all cooked together for maximum flavor with minimal cleanup.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or flank, sliced)
  • 8 oz short pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 1 cup smoky BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 cups broth
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar)
  • Optional: bell peppers, sriracha, chili flakes, green onions for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat a pot over medium-high heat and sear the steak until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, sauté onions and garlic until soft.
  3. Add the pasta, BBQ sauce, honey, broth, smoked paprika, and return the steak to the pot. Stir well.
  4. Cover and simmer until the pasta is cooked and the liquid is absorbed, adding more broth if necessary.
  5. Serve topped with cheese and green onions. Enjoy!

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute steak with mushrooms and smoked tofu. This dish is freezer-friendly, but best enjoyed fresh.
