Ingredients
Scale
- 2 (15 oz) cans of sliced peaches in heavy syrup (or 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced and sweetened)
- 1 box yellow cake mix (vanilla or butter flavor)
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Pour the peaches with their syrup into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla, stirring gently.
- Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the peach layer.
- Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix, ensuring as much is covered as possible, and scatter nuts on top if using.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
Notes
For a lighter version, use peaches in light syrup or fresh peaches with less sugar. Alternatively, use gluten-free cake mix if needed.
