Peach Cobbler with Cake Mix

A quick and easy Peach Cobbler made with cake mix, combining classic flavor and modern convenience.

  • Total Time: 60 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (15 oz) cans of sliced peaches in heavy syrup (or 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced and sweetened)
  • 1 box yellow cake mix (vanilla or butter flavor)
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Pour the peaches with their syrup into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla, stirring gently.
  3. Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the peach layer.
  4. Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix, ensuring as much is covered as possible, and scatter nuts on top if using.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.

Notes

For a lighter version, use peaches in light syrup or fresh peaches with less sugar. Alternatively, use gluten-free cake mix if needed.
