Delicious cinnamon rolls that are soft and tender, perfect for lazy Sundays.

Ingredients

  • 600g plain flour
  • 300ml milk
  • 100g butter
  • 35g sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 4 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk to 110°F to 115°F and mix with the yeast.
  2. Add flour, butter, eggs, sugar, and cinnamon to form a dough.
  3. Knead until tacky but not sticky.
  4. Let the dough rise for 90 minutes.
  5. Roll out the dough to a 12×18 inch rectangle and spread melted butter, sugar, and cinnamon on top.
  6. Roll tightly and cut into equal pieces.
  7. Arrange the rolls in a greased baking pan, spacing them 1 inch apart for soft sides.
  8. Let them rise for another 45 minutes.
  9. Bake at 375°F for 30-35 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 190°F to 200°F.
  10. Cool for 5-10 minutes and glaze with cream cheese mixture.

Notes

Experiment with spacing for different textures and moisture levels. Chilling dough overnight enhances flavor.
