- 1/3 cup sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups warm milk
- 1/3 cup melted butter

- 2 cups fresh strawberries
- 1/4 cup sugar (for filling)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 1/2 tablespoons water
- 4 oz softened cream cheese (for frosting)
- 2 oz unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
- 2 teaspoons heavy cream
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine 4 cups flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
- Add warm milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract; mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let the dough rise in a warm area for about 1 hour.
- In a saucepan, combine strawberries and sugar; cook until jam-like, then add cornstarch mixed with water to thicken.
- Roll out the dough into an 18×12 inch rectangle.
- Spread the cooled strawberry filling evenly over the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly from the long side and cut into 12 even rolls using dental floss.
- Place rolls in a greased 9×13 inch pan and let rise for an additional 20-30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake rolls for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow the rolls to cool in the pan for 20-25 minutes.
- For frosting, beat cream cheese and unsalted butter until smooth, then gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
- Apply frosting on warm rolls and serve with additional strawberries if desired.
Notes
These rolls can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days or frozen for 3 months. Reheat before serving for the best taste.
