Walking Taco Casserole

A quick and easy casserole that combines all the flavors of walking tacos in a mess-free dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 can beans (black or pinto)
  • 2 cups crushed Fritos
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • Lettuce, diced tomatoes, jalapeños, and sour cream for toppings (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and drain excess fat.
  3. Add taco seasoning and beans. Stir until everything is well combined.
  4. Layer the beef mixture in a 9×13 baking pan.
  5. Top with crushed Fritos and shredded cheese.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly.
  7. Serve with your favorite taco toppings.

Notes

Feel free to substitute Fritos with tortilla chips or Doritos. You can also make this dish vegetarian by using beans and corn instead of meat.
